Quote of the Day

I love quotes. My bedroom wall is covered in them. Why do I like them so much? There’s something really amazing about the fact that something you or I could say, completely unscripted, could be such an influence on somebody else. So, today I thought I’d share with you one of my favorites.

“I can’t even enjoy a blade of grass unless I know there’s a subway handy, or a record store, or some other sign that people do not totally regret life.” ~Frank O’Hara~

Deep, huh? That’s the power of words!

I created an email for this blog. It’s slightlycrazyteenager@yahoo.com. Email me (it’s confidential, of course) if you have any comments, questions, or ideas. Also, just let me know and I will notify you when I write a new post, until the subscription widget starts working.

Thanks!

I love good quotes too. I never thought to put them on my wall, but I did handwrite out in gel pen a bunch of Bible verses and put them up on the walls in my parents’ house when I was a teenager and I think a couple of them are still up there. I took down the ones in my bedroom when I moved out since those were the ones that were most important to me, and brought them with me to NY. Maybe someday I’ll put them up again.
This was one of my favorites:
“All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable. All things are lawful for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.” – 1 Cor 6:12
